Odd -- without ever seeing the book you mentioned, this winter I made myself a scarf from Noro Kureyon because I fell in love with the yarn, and decided that a mistake rib pattern would rock. I didn't use two skeins knitted in rows, though, which sounds like a great idea. They look great!
