Hertzfeld Gets Award

An award of merit for residential design and construction was awarded by House & Home, management magazine of the housing industry, to Maurice Hertzfeld, developer of University Mews, 45th and Spruce sts.

Hertzfeld and Irwin Horowitz are associates in the construction of the unusual community of brick, three-level homes.

Twenty of teh 46 homes in the group have been sold and ten are occupied. All of the development is now under roof, and the center court, which is a feature of the community, is being planted with trees.

University Mews homes, priced from $22,000 to $29,500, were designed by Robert C. Turner, architect.
