On the Fourth of July, Amy and I went to visit her sister in Maine. We went to the town of Perkins Cove for the afternoon and walked along the coastal shore until we found a beach area. On the way back from the beach we took photos in The Climbing Tree. This is me in the tree with Cameron and Maddie.

We also saw a spectacular sunset over York Beach before the fireworks.
Yesterday I tried to get some photos of the dogs for our Christmas card. Naturally, since I wanted them to do something, they gave me attitude. Here are some of the more successful attempts (although I don’t like any of them enough to use them):

And since it’s no fun to only look at the better photos, here are the best of the failures:

Fortunately I did manage a few good solo shots of each of them, so I’ll work a little Photoshop magic to make our cards this year. Phew!
It’s funny, you know, that I rarely get overstuffed at the actual Thanksgiving meal, but always find myself feeling a little sick after breakfast the next day. But oh how I love our day-after-Thanksgiving breakfast of turkey, potato, and veggie hash with an egg on top, and toast on the side. So much so that I always eat too much of it. Today was no exception.
Tonight we’re off to have dinner out with my folks, and perhaps we’ll catch the Holidazzle parade. Depending on how much we all feel like being outside at night… And tomorrow we go back to Boston. It’s been a quick trip, but a good one.
Happy Thanksgiving from me and mine to you and yours!
We’re here in Minnesota, per tradition, and are getting ready to drive up to Wisconsin for our annual Thanksgiving gathering with my godparents and their family. The weather is grey out, but it’s neither snowing nor sleeting, so the drive should be pretty reasonable. And then we get to see everyone and eat yummy food and play games and play with my god-cousin’s kids! I can’t wait.
With that, have a great day.
